Superyacht Foodie TV documentary series receiving significant interest from global streaming services and TV networks.

The pilot episode of the Superyacht Foodie documentary series ‘Into the Light’ made in partnership with RedPepper TV has received an incredible response from global streaming services and linear TV networks.

Superyacht Foodie Experience

Much like the service Superyacht Foodies offers, Into the Light is a six-episode journey that takes viewers from the source of rare, sustainable foods, often from remote locations straight to the galleys, and onto the plates of superyacht owners and guests.

Michelin-starred Chef and supporter of Superyacht Foodie, Kim Mikkola hosts the series and along the way shares his story about how he found himself at a crossroads in life, and embarked on an remarkable journey to reignite his passion for cooking.

The first season takes you on an extraordinary journey from reindeer estates in Finnish Lapland, to small Italian villages and South African farms. Kim meets the producers and sources the most incredible ingredients that will later be brought on board superyachts anchored in exotic locations. The series then follows Kim around the world where he goes into the galley and collaborates with the yacht chefs to create mouthwatering dishes, sourcing the perfect side ingredients from local markets and farms.

One of the goals of this series is to give the superyacht industry the recognition it deserves—showing the real people behind the luxury, without all the drama. It will also explore the unique challenges and pressures faced by Michelin-starred chefs, and yacht chefs, and how they compare.

Titta Uoti-Väisänen, founder of Superyacht Foodie explained, “This all started about two years ago. Superyacht Foodie was invited by the Finnish Embassy in Pretoria, South Africa, to host a Finnish food fair in Cape Town. As it so often happens, what started as a simple lunch with a local contact, turned into something much bigger. He was fascinated by the Superyacht Foodie concept, and that casual meeting has now blossomed into a full-blown documentary series that I’m so excited to share with you all.

“For me, this project is more than just a series—it’s a chance to work with industry professionals and showcase the positive, realistic side of our superyacht world. I’m really looking forward to collaborating with as many people as possible to make this series something truly special.”

As Superyacht Foodie embarks on this global journey, they are also committed to making a positive impact on the environment. They understand that any travel will have a carbon footprint and are taking responsibility for that. They plan to work with a carbon offset program to credit the emissions generated by the show and would love to receive any recommendations for reliable carbon offset organisations or initiatives they should consider partnering with.
