Dometic, a global outdoor tech brand, received two inaugural EPIC Awards from leading marine industry business journal Soundings Trade Only magazine.  In the photo above, Dometic Marine Segment President Eric Fetchko (center) displays both awards along with Michele Goldsmith, Vice President/General Manager of the Soundings Trade Only Group, and Gary Reich, Editor-in-Chief of Soundings Trade Only Magazine.

This award – created to honor Exceptional, Purposeful, Innovative, Compassionate companies — was presented during a special pre-show meeting on the event’s second day.

The EPIC Awards (formerly known as the Most Innovative Company Awards) are judged by a panel of journalists and industry experts.    Entrants are evaluated in a range of categories:  Altruism/Social Awareness, Development & Technology, Work Culture, Manufacturing Process/Supply Chains, Start-Ups, and Sustainability.   In addition to winners for each category, an overall Top EPIC Award is bestowed to the company rated best by the judges across all categories.

Dometic received two such honors during IBEX, winning the Development & Technology category, as well as a Top 2025 Epic Award.  “Our 2025 honorees are reshaping the marketplace through strategic vision and bold initiatives that are transforming the entire marine industry,” said Goldsmith.

“We proudly accept both these awards on behalf of the passionate people around the world who make Dometic such a great company,” said Fetchko.  “Our breakthrough DG3 gyrostabilizer technology has changed the rules for installing, using, and enjoying the comfort benefits of stabilization on today’s boats.  Our solution is significantly more energy efficient, more effective, and more durable, and it is gratifying to see the boating industry recognize these technological achievements.”
